postheadericon Brilliant Programmer

One of my clients recently had problems with a site. My client and I had no success getting the script supplier to fix problem. However as I haunt a Forum online that has lots of talented members, my client contacted a young guy there that is a talented programmer. Eric Sizemore or Secondversion as his user-name was for years, is a natural programmer. However like a lot of Americans at present, he is currently doing it tough because of the economic downturn.
To Quote from his home site. SecondVersion.com

I’m a 21 year old Web Developer, Programmer, and Domainer. I specialize in PHP and MySQL. I currently reside in Corbin, Kentucky – and I am now actively seeking a new career path. I was a Customer Service Rep. for a government contractor, I’d rather do programming full time.

Any company that has a need for the talents of an excellent programmer, checkout his resume. He is a brilliant programmer, indeed he is the author of a highly successful free Script. Please contact him via his site contact page.

postheadericon SMBI, Swine Flu, Security & Social Separation.

Recently I had the pleasure to attend the Redlands 2030 Visioning workshop the local Redlands Council organised here in the SMBI region. This was a gathering of locals and interested people having a brainstorming and information night to enable the council to plan for the next 20+ years. With the current scare about Swine Flu and it’s possibility for a global Pandemic, it made me think. I realised that the ensuring panic and resultant social isolation that people will find in the security of their own home will have major social and political consequences. It maybe the start of a major and catastrophic change in the whole of society’s mindset towards each other. Paranoid thoughts abouts who has or hasn’t got the flu will change people’s thinking. It is now a time for action not ISOLATION. Be positive and move forward, the world is a wonderful place.

postheadericon Darwinian Theories and Tourism

I recently travelled to Darwin in the Northern Territory. After seeing all the beautiful displays at the local Museum. It proved to me beyond all doubt that Darwin (Charles, that is) was right. There is a definite link between present day man and lower life forms. The link is a desire to improve their environment by adaptation. We adapt to the hot and humid climate by using air-conditioning, whereas the crocodiles have adapted by learning to eat Humans.

postheadericon All About Immigration Background Checks

A lot of people coming from different countries and walking different walks of life travels and some even consider migrating to another country where they believe would provide them with greener pastures. In people intent to migrate, they have to undergo an Immigration Background Check, and as we would notice People coming from Asia, Africa and even Europe are drawn to the country we call the land of the free, the US.

Applications for US immigration need to have and pass a proper immigration background check. And once an individual passes this background check, it will establish the person’s residence eligibility. Background checks that will be used for immigration are performed by the agency in-charge of the process. For those applying for US migration, the back ground check is with the agency of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or the USCIS which is the federal agency handling the checks on applicants for immigration visa processing. This immigration background check will be done only by the USCIS without any bias on the country of origin, religious issues or ethnicity to ensure that they provide only reliable results.

But currently, due to the 9/11 attack, the US has started increasing their immigration background checks to ensure the safety and level down the possibility of the country experiencing another terror attack. Immigration background checks are now conducted for security purposes and so a large number of applicants are routinely inspected and many passed the test without any incidences. Yet many advocates of the USCIS procedure are concerned with the new time-consuming procedure as it takes a long time because of the three-tiered approach being used on background checking. This process would mean a year or more of waiting for an applicant before he or she gets visa approval.

Immigration background check involves three different process in investigation techniques such as the Interagency Border Inspections System or the IBIS Name Check, FBI fingerprint check and the FBI name check. Applicants should pass these three test before the interview schedule is given. If any of the checks gets a negative result after investigations are made, the immigration process will be a failure.

The first process of the immigration background check is done by the IBIS which is a multi-agency, centralized system acquiring information for different sources to instantly know whether an applicant is qualified or if more background checking is needed. Fingerprint checks from the FBI usually take about twenty four to forty eight hours, and if criminal records comes up, an adjudicator of the USCIS will determine if the possibility of continuing or not continuing the investigation.

If records or violation shows ineligibility for award of green card for the applicants, the investigation will be discontinued as recommended. The final procedure that applicants must go through is the name check of the FBI. This takes only about 14 days or longer if there is a need for further resolution or some results needs further investigation. When applicants passes all these checks, they will have a greater chance of getting into the US to live or work.

postheadericon Why Respecting Your Customers is Good For Business

At its very core marketing is the art of convincing someone to take money they worked very hard to earn and give it to you for something they are convinced has value that equals or exceeds the price they are paying.

It seems easy, but if you really think about it there is a value that is assigned to your product. You are trading a commodity for cash. In turn you use that cash to either buy new products or as profit to meet your own personal bills.

Perhaps this, more than any other reason is why you should not take a casual approach to what you sell and how you sell it.

There was an episode of the classic television series, “The Andy Griffith Show” that applies to this line of thinking. In this particular episode Barney Fife was finally buying his own car. He had been saving his money and was anxious to get a good deal. He met a grandmotherly type who had a car that she stated had been garaged and rarely driven. She hated to part with it, but she didn’t drive much anymore. While Barney was believing he was getting a very good deal he was actually being scammed by the older woman who was working to dump a poorly performing automobile.

This is one of the greatest fears of online consumers. They want to trust that their modest disposable income can provide benefit through a purchase via the web. However, it doesn’t take long to discover sites that sell products with little value for more money than they are worth. The scales of economy are off balance and the consumer always seems to be the one left holding inferior products.

When you understand the value of a dollar from the perspective of a consumer you can begin to appreciate how much trust needs to be involved in the fair exchange of monetary gain for your products. When a consumer passes along cash they are extending trust. When your product, service or customer relations fails to demonstrate your trustworthiness you have lost what might have been a long-term customer.

In a depressed economy people have to work harder to make ends meet. They don’t have as much disposable income and they may be more selective in whom they trust and how they spend their money.

Will your company be one that can be defined by trust? Will every touchpoint consumers have with your business invite and encourage trust? Do you provide information the consumer might need as a free service to visitors? What value can you extend to your guests that exceeds their expectations? Can you make big promises and then deliver on them?

These are all questions you will need to consider as you work to define or redefine who you are in this new economic era. Those who understand these issues and address them head on will be the most likely to succeed.

In many ways the consumer is smarter today than ever before. They are in the driver’s seat in online transactions. Respect them enough to deal honestly with them. You might just be rewarded for the gesture.
