My original decision for self-authored postings was 1 post Monthly. I have revised that decisions and will make more frequent postings. There will be no firm timetable, except that there will always be at least 2 posts per month.

Reading a recent news feed , there was an item about a Loser (literally) that has sued a Gambling Casino for allowing him to lose. I wonder, what part of the concept of gambling has escaped him. Life is a gamble at the best of times, but thinking that a casino would have an implicit duty of care to prevent a client losing is ludicrous.

Having a love of all things, my family and I have been feeding several young birds some tidbits. However recently some free-loaders have started to expect to be totally fed by us. Yesterday we had over several birds swoop in when food was placed outside for a little bird.

Recently I had the pleasure to attend the Redlands 2030 Visioning workshop the local Redlands Council organised here in the SMBI region. This was a gathering of locals and interested people having a brainstorming and information night to enable the council to plan for the next 20+ years. With the current scare about Swine Flu and it’s possibility for a global Pandemic, it made me think. I realised that the ensuring panic and resultant social isolation that people will find in the security of their own home will have major social and political consequences. It maybe the start of a major and catastrophic change in the whole of society’s mindset towards each other. Paranoid thoughts abouts who has or hasn’t got the flu will change people’s thinking. It is now a time for action not ISOLATION. Be positive and move forward, the world is a wonderful place.

I recently travelled to Darwin in the Northern Territory. After seeing all the beautiful displays at the local Museum. It proved to me beyond all doubt that Darwin (Charles, that is) was right. There is a definite link between present day man and lower life forms. The link is a desire to improve their environment by adaptation. We adapt to the hot and humid climate by using air-conditioning, whereas the crocodiles have adapted by learning to eat Humans.
